Motion graphic 動態圖像，其實就是將平面的Graphic design給動態化的創作，除了每個畫面都要符合平面設計的基本元素，更必須加入時間的概念，進而創造動態感知，甚至結合人機互動科技的運用，來達到更多元的表現形式。

Motion Graphic的重點承如第一個拿到Adobe設計成就獎的（Adobe Design Achievement Awards）台灣人劉耕名所述：『它跟平面設計一樣是一種傳達訊息與人溝通的表現方式，只是，更強烈，視覺傳達效果強、製作時間短、創意表現更多元。』

現在的Motion graphic可以融入電影（film）、動畫(animation)、廣告(CF)、特效（VF）以至於任何結合2D,3D設計的動態影像創作，都是mg的範疇。諸如各電視節目或電影的片頭通常都常以mg的形式來表現出整個節目的氛圍劇情等等…又例如音樂台穿插節目中的廣告片段（結合手繪、插畫、動畫等）也都是饒富創意的MG表現之例，此外飛爾酥也很喜歡衛士電影台替老片及新片都Redesign了一系列別具風格標準字MG，將整個影片質感及觀影品質大大提昇了不少。
